Timeline of RTI process with Soil & Water Conservation Department

July 1 2024 – RTI filed.

July 23 2024 – We received a response from the department asking us to take up the matter with the Invest Meghalaya Authority.

August 28 2024 – Complaint filed at the State Information Commission against the Soil and Water Conservation Department for denial of information and undermining the RTI Act 2005.

September 4 2024 – Showcause notice issued by the State Information Commission to the Soil and Water Conservation Department.

September 10 2024 – We received a letter from the Soil and Water Conservation Department granting us the right to inspect the files as per the RTI Act 2005.

October 7 2024 – RTI inspection report. Two files were shown, and documents and notesheets from these files were obtained.
